Brian wants to grow up to be just like Dad! (One night before bedtime, He told me he wants to go to work and have kids). He is enjoying the warmer weather as he can now go outside and ride his bike. He is very excited about having a new sibling, however he really wants a boy. He was making his bed one morning and laid out his pillow and blanket then got out his Spider Man pillow and set it next to his. He finished, went and found mom and told her what he had done. When asked why he put the spider man pillow there he said “That’s the baby’s pillow. When he comes he can sleep right there next to me. I have the big boy pillow and he has the baby pillow. Because he is a boy he can stay in here with me.” So we are trying now to tell him that God decides if we get a boy or a girl and he says that he will pray for a boy
Lena is really taking to her sister, she loves to play with her and show her how to do things (which of course makes mom very nervous). Her imagination is really taking off. The stories she tells you and how she plays are amazing. She was feeding plastic pickles to flowers the other day. Her lenaese is starting to become clearer and more people can understand what she is saying without an interpreter. She loves to read in the little nook dad made in a corner of her room and of course still loves to dance. Mom puts on Dancing with the Stars and she dances along. She does not like the judging however and yells at the TV for “more DANCING! NO DANCING!”.
Kaylee is growing like a weed! Her and Lena are both in the same size clothes (Lena at the top end and Kaylee at the bottom end of the size). She has picked up our routines very quickly. The other day she slid off the couch after Chris was done reading the kids a bedtime story. She then walked up to Mom, laid her head down on her leg (her version of a hug), waved, said “ni-ni” (night night) and then went upstairs on her own, went into the bathroom, setup the step-stool at the sink, stepped up and looked at dad as if to say “I’m ready for my toothbrush”.
We now have a minivan! We wanted a van that could hold 8 or more passengers (so Nana & Grams can still go with us when we go places after Baby #4 comes). We ended up with a 2003 Chevy Venture Warner Brothers Edition:
