The Good News: We have been approved to adopt up to 2 children…
The Bad News: They are recommending to MCI that Kerri be adopted by the foster family due to the amount of time she has already spent with them (Because they took so long to process everything).
The follow up: We have a meeting setup for Feb. 15th to meet with the Adoption Worker, her Supervisor, and the Supervisor’s Supervisor, with our Lawyer…
Please keep us in your prayers, as we continue the process of getting our niece out of the Foster Care System and back with her family.

After a 7 month battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) - (bone marrow cancer) Grannie became god’s newest angel on January 19th 2007 at the age of 74.
Her cancer was very aggressive, and while 3 sets of kemo therapy and countless transfusions were able to extend her life by a few months, it was not able to keep her in remission. She was in very good spirits the entire time, and was surrounded by family at the time of her passing.
Those of you fortunate enough to have met her know that she was not a “Granny” but a Grannie (as she would spell it), a lively and fun person to be around. May she always be remembered that way.
Kerri could not be with her family for Christmas, so we had it for her on Little Christmas.
Lena can almost stay sitting on her own…
