Kaylee Walking!
Kaylee has been walking since 9 months! (trying to keep up with her brother and sister). She is now getting really good at it, she also likes to walk on her knees too.

Brian- Our baby has started school!!! After many days of questions and answers and more questions Brian walked calmly, though still a little nervous, into his class room and did GREAT! Mom on the other hand, smiled the whole time he could see her then came home to Dad, who was watching the girls, and soaked his shirt :-p He loves his teacher and school. In fact he didn’t want to leave the first day because he was having so much fun. He didn’t agree to come home until mom promised he’d be going back many more times!
Lena- Well what can we say. She is so smart and picking up things so fast we can’t keep up. She is starting to learn her letters, colors and can count, well sort of :) She says with a smile ”One, Two, Three, Five, Six, Eight, Nine, Ten!” Then claps. She wants to sing songs all the time too. Oh and watch out if you don’t sing it right! “No Momma! Sing the Bus!” (That would be The Wheels on the Bus) “Now ABC’s!” “Now the Moo Moo!” (Old McDonald Had a Farm for those just learning Lena-ese) Once you’ve gone through it once you are no longer allowed to sing. “No Momma! Now Me! No ME!” {Sigh} It’s a good thing she’s so darn cute!!!
Kaylee- She stands now and balances without holding onto anything. We counted 20 seconds before she casually decided to hold onto something again. Like it was no big deal at all. She spends quite a bit of time just going round and round the house following Brian and Lena. They have started a new game of pretending to be puppies. Barking and crawling around on all 4’s. Kaylee just loves this because she can play along and keep up. Of course she has taken the game a little far now as we often find her in the dogs’ crates just hanging out ;-p

Brian- Our boy is 4 years old!!! We can’t believe how time has flown. We had a nice party with the family and he actually enjoyed us singing happy birthday to him this time! He is getting a little nervous about school starting, but is willing to try it so we’re happy. Unfortunately, like his mom, he laughs when he gets nervous so he’s been pretty giggly. We’ve joined a playgroup and we’re all making new friends and that has helped a lot.
Lena- Everyday she amazes us. She continues to “read” on her own, gathering large stacks of books and not moving till she has gone through them all. Now we are working on getting her to put them back :) She is saying new words so often now that we forget to write them down, so we only have Tall and Bean to add this month. Oh and did we mention we seem to have another Beaner? She loves beans! As long as they aren’t green.
Kaylee- She is starting to let go now, while standing. Sadly she hasn’t mastered her balance yet and gets so mad! She just doesn’t understand why she can’t just follow Brian and Lena and do what they do. Mom is starting to believe this baby will be walking by Halloween. Bets anyone?

Brian- He is getting so big. While it is hard to tell day to day how much he is changing, we do get told quite often how wonderful and polite he is. He continues to help out with his sisters, sometimes too much, he likes to tell them what to do, and he is starting to wonder how things in the world are working.
Lena- She is our monkey :-p She is testing everything and everyone. Climbing, running and talking. A few of her new words are Outside, Watch, Nana and Big B.
Kaylee- Oh she is getting so big, so fast. She really hates to be left behind, so she is studying her brother and sister and copying them at every turn. She is now Cruising (walking while holding on the things) and can climb the stairs, much to our suprise! She crawled all the way to the top, with mom right behind her of course :-)

We (Mom, Dad, Brian, Lena, Kaylee & Nana) drove to our hotel in Dubois, PA (Near where Uncle B lives).

We spent the day at Parker Dam State Park in PA with Uncle B and Aunt Margie.
