Brian is learning (and growing) fast, one night, as he was saying his prayer before bed, he told Dad that he had too many things going on in his head and did not know what to say first.   Brian also learned how to swing on the swings by himself.

Lena turned 3 this month!  She is our future Lawyer, you can not win an argument with her, for example; if you say “You are getting to be such a big girl.” she will insist “No i’m not i’m tiny!”.
She got a Tinkerbell bed for her Birthday, and could not wait to go to bed in it.

Kaylee is starting to talk more… she now says: ”shoes, juice, doggy, daddy, I stuck, oh no, oops”.
Sometimes she will even combine words like “Hi Daddy”.  If you tell her to put her shoes away, she will take them off, walk over and put them in the closet, and say “done”.

Brian - Now all done with preschool and he got the “Super Friend” award at graduation.  He received the award because he makes friends with everyone and doesn’t mind playing with whoever is available.  He misses school but is excited to get to go to kindergarten after the summer.  He loves his new dog and enjoys pretending to be a puppy with her.  So, if he’s crawling on the floor barking, that’s why!

Lena - “I have a problem” is her new favorite saying… also if she thinks something is wrong with someone else she say for example, “Mom, Kaylee has a problem!”  She loves to be a “Princess” and “Tinker Bell”, but sometimes will say “No, I’m Lena” if she is not in the mood to play.  She has a costume dress that Nana got her and whenever she wants to play princess she says “Where’s my princess?  I need to wear my princess!”  She doesn’t really have much of a sense of humor though because if you tease her, like saying she is silly, you’ll get the “No I’m not, I’m Lena!” over and over again till you take back what you said.

Kaylee - Has 3 molars and 2 more front teeth coming in (oh joy!).  She has started asking “what’s that?”  If she wants something done for her or something is hers, she will just keep repeating me, me, me until she gets what she wants.  She is growing up so fast!  Just the other day she picked up a fork and started feeding herself, and she was good at it, much to our surprise!  She is very much enjoying being independent, but she still likes to cuddle, so Mom and Dad don’t feel too bad :)

Meet Fudge!

Princess has not been doing well since Phoenix passed.  She was fine when we were home but because she is very much a “pack” animal, she would go nuts when left her alone.   She has always been this way, we just forgot because it has been years since we had tried to leave her by herself.  So we decided to get another dog…

The hunt was not an easy one, and most of the dogs we found that we thought would work with our environment were no longer available. Finally, we found “Fudge” (Brian named her):

She is about 7 Months Old and we believe she is an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie Mix.  She really is a sweetheart.  Everyone loves her, including Princess.  Although Princess has had to put her in her place a few times now.  Since she is still a puppy she needs a bit of training, but between Princess and Karen she will be well taken care of :)

Brian wants to grow up to be just like Dad! (One night before bedtime, He told me he wants to go to work and have kids). He is enjoying the warmer weather as he can now go outside and ride his bike.  He is very excited about having a new sibling, however he really wants a boy.   He was making his bed one morning and laid out his pillow and blanket then got out his Spider Man pillow and set it next to his.  He finished, went and found mom and told her what he had done.  When asked why he put the spider man pillow there he said “That’s the baby’s pillow.  When he comes he can sleep right there next to me.  I have the big boy pillow and he has the baby pillow.   Because he is a boy he can stay in here with me.” So we are trying now to tell him that God decides if we get a boy or a girl and he says that he will pray for a boy :)

Lena is really taking to her sister, she loves to play with her and show her how to do things (which of course makes mom very nervous).  Her imagination is really taking off.  The stories she tells you and how she plays are amazing.  She was feeding plastic pickles to flowers the other day.  Her lenaese is starting to become clearer and more people can understand what she is saying without an interpreter.  She loves to read in the little nook dad made in a corner of her room and of course still loves to dance.  Mom puts on Dancing with the Stars and she dances along.  She does not like the judging however and yells at the TV for “more DANCING! NO DANCING!”.

Kaylee is growing like a weed!  Her and Lena are both in the same size clothes (Lena at the top end and Kaylee at the bottom end of the size).  She has picked up our routines very quickly.  The other day she slid off the couch after Chris was done reading the kids a bedtime story.  She then walked up to Mom, laid her head down on her leg (her version of a hug), waved, said “ni-ni” (night night) and then went upstairs on her own, went into the bathroom, setup the step-stool at the sink, stepped up and looked at dad as if to say “I’m ready for my toothbrush”.

We now have a minivan! We wanted a van that could hold 8 or more passengers (so Nana & Grams can still go with us when we go places after Baby #4 comes).  We ended up with a 2003 Chevy Venture Warner Brothers Edition:

Brian is getting so big, and he is an even bigger helper now.  The other day I went to get their PJ’s ready, while they were brushing their teeth, Lena yelled out “Your Turn”(meaning my turn to brush her teeth), when I returned to the bathroom I found him brushing Lena’s teeth for her.

Lena is finally growning!  It was starting to look like Kaylee was going to pass her up, but then she had a growth spurt.  Now when you line them up, they’re each a head size apart.

Kaylee is 14 months going on 24months… She proves on a daily basis that she can keep up with her brother and sister. She insists on feeding herself, and only wants to eat what we are eating.  She has 2 more teeth (for a total of 6).  She is a perfect little mimic, she even says TU (Thank You) when you give her something (just like her brother and sister).
